About Awele Jackson Advocates LLP

Welcome to Awele Jackson Advocates LLP

Awele Jackson Advocates LLP enjoys a sound reputation in legal practice in Kenya. The firm prides itself in providing high quality legal services to both private and corporate clients and has been successful in a number of reported judgments which have contributed significantly to the development of Kenyan Law. We strive to remain at the cutting edge of our specialist areas of expertise by pursuing innovative resolutions to legal problems. Our knowledge and experience across the full range of civil, regulatory and criminal issues uniquely positions us to advise clients on multi-faceted and complex crises. We have worked on some of the most high profile, and challenging cases and investigations of recent years.

Our fees

Our services are offered on a mix of hourly rate and fixed retainer basis. However, as many of our clients’ matters are complex and often involve multiple parties, there is rarely a typical case. We provide our clients with an estimate of costs after our initial meeting or as part of the engagement process. There are some areas where we are able to be more indicative and, as in accordance with the Advocates Remuneration Order (ARO) guidance on price transparency, we try as much as possible to be upfront about charges. All our charges assume quality, committed and practical attention to every matter under our care.

Pro Bono

The Senior Partner – Awele Jackson is committed to being a responsible member of the legal profession and is passionate about making material contribution to the wider community.

Providing pro bono help to people who need legal assistance but cannot afford it thus forms an important component of the firm’s community focused activities.

Respect for the rule of law and the proper administration of justice, the assertion and defence of human rights including the right of access to justice, and challenging miscarriages of justice are principles which have always been at the heart of the Firm’s values, and at the centre of our operations.

We have a long history of standing up for such principles and rights and of facilitating access to justice for clients and others on a pro bono basis. We also offer pro bono advise to indigent litigants wishing to benefit from the exemption from paying court filing fees under the Civil and other Procedure rules.
