The firm was started in November 2013 by the incumbent Managing Partner Ann Nderu with the help of Counsel Christine Kirimi.

In the year 2017, Counsel Musembi Karanja joined the Law Firm as a partner necessitating the change of the law firms name from Nderu & Ngaruni Advocates to Nderu, Ngaruni & Karanja Advocates.

Since the year 2013, the firm has undertaken legal work in diverse and wide ranging areas of the Legal industry. The firm is recognized by the Law Society of Kenya. It is registered under Business No. 2013/252799.

The current Managing Partner is Ann Nderu.
