About Me
Mr Situma is an accomplished commercial lawyer litigator with 11+ years of post-qualification experience. He has appeared and litigated cases on behalf of clients with great success at various tribunals, subordinate courts, specialized courts, and superior courts. At Bond Advocates, Mr. Situma's areas of practice are in companies law, labour and employment law, criminal law, electoral law and processes, public procurement law, constitutional and administrative law, compensation claims for personal injury or material damages, family law and succession, debt recoveries, and land disputes.
He has acted for private individuals, politicians, companies in the financial sector, agricultural sector, Trusts, SACCOS, insurance companies, banks, and developers in high-value conveyancing briefs. At Bond Advocates LLP Situma heads the real estate and conveyancing practice.
Situma holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law.

Career highlights
- Defended a bank client and bank former advocate in a USD 1.8 million recovery claim by the bank for a failed security registration deal.
- Successfully prepared, perfected and registered tens of banking securities including legal charges, debentures, chattels mortgage, guarantees, loan agreements, Deeds of Assignment and Hire Purchase Agreements etc;
Successfully defended a financial institution's directors against a co-director's claim for recovery of Kshs. 50,000,000 under a shareholders agreement; - Defended directors of a fish processing company valued at over Kshs. 100,000,000 against ouster attempts by a fellow direct; Continues to successfully recover debts owed to a micro finance institution by its loan defaulters. So far recovered over Kshs 300,000,000.
- Obtained hundreds of favorable judgments in ELRC and Magistrate courts for employees in unfair and/or unlawful dismissal claims.
- Advised several employers on the legal technicalities regarding aspects of termination of employment, issuing redundancy notices
- Obtained favorable judgments against the National Police Service and the Attorney General in cases of police harassment, extortion and abuse of police powers against Kenyans and foreigners.
