Mr. Lilan is a Senior Partner and the Managing Partner of the Firm. He is a Certified Company Secretary {CS (K)} and also heads the company secretarial division.
His expertise spans various areas including, commercial litigation, Corporate law, Banking, Conveyancing, Environmental law, insurance as well as Probate and Administration. Mr Lilan has a track record of handling cases in courts of all levels with the privilege of being involved in precedent-setting litigation at the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Kenya. Additionally, he has a keen interest in Environmental and Constitutional Law.
Mr. Lilan’s involvement in arbitration proceedings commenced when he bacame an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb) (London) in December 2003 and has since been involved in numerous arbitration matters. He is well-versed in legal aspects of Public Procurement legislation and has represented various clients at the Public Procurement Complaints, Appeals, and Review Board, as well as representing clients in criminal cases arising from infringement of procurement procedures and processes.
Beyond his legal endevours, Mr. Lilan holds the prestigious position of chairing the Capital Markets Authority Tribunal, the athletics Kenya Disciplinary Committee and several school boards.
He has previously served on the National Executive Committee of the Kenya Scouts Association. Moreover, he is the chairman of Crossroad Prison and Rehabilitation Ministry. He is a member of the Governing Council of the Africa Theological Seminary,the presidential working party on education reform. He previously served as the Vice Chair of East Africa Environmental Network, as a Former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Industrial Property Institute (K.I.P.I) and as the chair of World Vision Kenya.
